RBC and City National Bank to donate $125,000
RBC and City National Bank is committed to enabling youth to gain the skills and tools necessary to reach their full potential. RBC Capital Markets, RBC Wealth Management, and City National Bank is therefore donating a total of $125,000 USD to the four youth-serving non-profit charities of RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley.
A message from RBC’s John McClure – Managing Director and Global Head of Semiconductors & Electronics Investment Banking RBC Capital Markets:
“Starting with Whistler, North America’s largest GranFondo, RBC is bringing the excitement of group bike racing to the Silicon Valley – the home of some of the world’s most “committed” cyclists. Combining a world class GranFondo, the natural beauty of the Bay Area and a focus on giving back to the Community, RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley is quickly becoming the cycling event of the Summer.
The foundation of the ride is bringing Silicon Valley together for a great event that benefits local charities committed to making meaningful and positive change in the lives of our communities children. In support of our future generation of leaders, we’ve selected four youth-focused organizations that provide kids with the support and tools necessary for them to achieve their full potential – Bizworld.org, Girls Who Code, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Tipping Point.
Together we’re going to have a fantastic day, riding through some of the world’s most beautiful scenery, while raising money to support our community’s children.”
Riders of the RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley also have the opportunity to donate or fundraise towards the four charities: Bizworld.org, Girls Who Code, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Tipping Point.
